The Search
Dylans initial search lasted 6 days. 1 day of search and rescue, while the remaining 5 days were search and recovery.
Law enforcement and Search and Rescue teams quickly turned their efforts to the water after finding Dylans rubber boots in a small brook near where Dylan went missing. Dylans rubber boots were found 6 and 8 hours after he was last seen.

Search tools used to search for Dylan included a helicopter with infrared, a drone, divers and underwater cameras.
Searching After the Initial Search
Once law enforcement ended their 6 day search effort for Dylan Ehler on May 12, family, friends and the community took up the search.
